We all know how things get started concerning information, and that certainly applies to health and fitness facts and myths. As you probably know myths begin when one person carries something they heard even if only partially heard on to a third person who then carries it to someone else. Maybe they even didn't hear it right. But they innocently tell something they know, and another myth is born, again.

There is a very high likelihood that you will accept what you hear if the person you are hearing it from is in a position that makes them more likely to know for sure or one of power even. If you receive an information that isn't entirely correct it can be dangerous. We will talk about some of the worst fitness and health facts and rumors.

You've probably heard the statement about metabolism boosts and the length they can last, this is not always a full truth. While that is a true statement, there is a caveat attached to it. The amount of calories you will burn beyond the workout will not be what you will be expecting. You'll probably notice that this happens because the untruth of the statement is prevalent in that the boost in metabolism doesn't last nearly as long as many say it should. The calorie burn is a direct relation to the metabolic increase and since neither is as great as we'd like it's an untruth.

Exercise is known to give you more energy. This benefit of regular exercise is true. People report feeling energized all day when they exercise in the morning. The increased energy is partially caused by increased blood circulation. Your cells receive more oxygen when your circulation is improved. Exercise also help improve your strength and stamina. You will naturally feel more energized with improve stamina.

Mental horsepower is only one benefit of fitness exercises. In other words, working out helps to make your brain more powerful and operate at a higher level of performance. Research has shown that having a regular bike tour exercise has a great effect on blood circulation. Serotonin levels in your brain will also increase along with circulation. The clarity of your brain is another effect of this increased level of serotonin. That is not only fascinating but also a very good thing. Whether or not what you are reading is true is really in the eye of the beholder, do your research. For your own sanity and interest, do this regularly. Before you go out half cocked and exert the energy and time necessary for a change in lifestyle you need to know that you are doing it right. The benefits you will reap are worth the extra effort to do the research.
